That is what I am doing and I am looking for partners.
This is a request your help in supporting a fundraising project on behalf of CAARE, Inc., in Durham, North Carolina. CAARE, Inc is a grassroots non-profit organization that offers a variety of services. Their medical clinic provides free health care services to people with no health insurance, as well as the under-insured.
On Friday, November 2, 2012 my company, BAMedia, is hosting a Throwback to the 60s Fundraising Party on behalf of CAARE, Inc. Initially it was just going to be a social networking event but after meeting the woman behind CAARE, Inc., Dr. Sharon Elliott-Bynum (pictured on the left), I was so moved by her story that I felt compelled to do something. So I decided to turn the event into a silent auction fundraiser for her organization with 100 percent of the proceeds going to assist with her $70,000 Homeless Veterans Project. My goal is to raise a minimum of $2500.
So far, a few people have stepped up to donate their time and talent, including Jaisun McMillan—a former member of Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and DJ Brian McGuire of McSound Productions.
Won’t you also consider a donation for this worthwhile cause? It could be in the form of a monetary donation, gift certificates or products for the silent auction. By contributing you will receive free advertising and positive public relations in the Triangle. That’s because we will post your name in our souvenir program. Also, in exchange for your generous donation, you will receive a video thank you from Jaisun and a complimentary DVD of the Fundraising Event.
If you would like to make a monetary tax deductible donation, just click on the paypal link below. If you want more information about this initiative, please contact me at 919-491-0154 or Beverly@talk2bev.com. I sincerely appreciate your considering this request.
