Hi there. I found you recently but have a couple of questions for you: where is your About Me page, where is your photo and the blog page only goes to Contact but you don’t have a page called contact. I’d love to learn more about you – I help baby boomer women start a business. Check out my website and contact me 🙂

  2. beverlym says:

    Hi Trudy,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. In answer to your questions, the About Me page was under another heading but since you brought it up, I decided to make it visible to visitors. (Thank you!) I do not have a “Contact” page per se, it is “Talk to Bev” so if anyone has a comment. they can leave it there.

I did check out your website. It looks interesting.

Bought your book yesterday, the Kindle edition and I loved it! Going to purchase copies for my mom & sisters. Thank you!
Also, a word of caution, be careful of that Alle person that attacked you the other day on Twitter. He has serious issues & I saw his offer earlier this morning to Skype with you. He wants to suck you into his drama, he’s exhausting & will suck the life out of you. I speak from experience. I’m sorry to contact you here but I felt it urgent to let you know.

    • beverlym says:

      Hi Harley,
Thanks for stopping by my website. I appreciate your support and am glad you enjoyed the book. I don’t even know that Alle person but when I saw the tweet in my stream I felt compelled to respond. It really wasn’t about promoting my book–I just wanted him to know that I did not believe all people who lie are fools. And I couldn’t understand why he kept :ccing Kathy Ireland on the conversation. Strange indeed—but as a result I have connected with some new and wonderful people like you!

  4. Bev – lovely connecting. You are a vivacious personality & I’m so glad to get better acquainted. Congratulations on being a BESTSELLING AUTHOR with your book How to Get on the News without Committing Murder!

      Hi Debbie,

Thanks for the (((shout out))). The social media event has CHANGED to a Women’s Reinvention Summit. Hopefully, you will take a look at the event and consider attending if you can.

  8. I just ordered your book Bev. Can’t wait to read it. I need to figure out how to get more publicity for my new memoir, HERE I STAND. The book tells of my upbringing as an African-American woman, raised by my white stepfather, who was a member of the Philadelphia Italian Mafia. I’ve had a few Hollywood producers contact me about optioning the rights to my story, but I feel if I can get some major publicity, especially get on talk shows, I will be able to have more control and involvement in the film process since I am an independent filmmaker.

    • beverlym says:

      Hi Jillian,
Your book sounds very interesting. I do believe you can generate some good publicity out of it provided you market it right and put it in the hands of folks who can help you with visibility.

  9. Beverly,
As I mentioned, I bought your book on August 16. Still waiting for it. Can you let me know if it has been shipped out yet?
    Thanks

  10. Beverly Mahone says:

    Hi Jillian,

You should be receiving it in the next day or so. Please confirm when you do. Thanks!

Hello Bev, I was given your name by Anne at Baby Boomers. I recently lost my job and I decided to take that time to work on one of my dreams. As a second career I ‘m interested in starting a project for women of our demographics. I could use some help as most of this is new to me. I look forward to hearing back from you. It would be great if this is something we could do together.

    Best,

  12. Jillian says:

    Hey Bev:
I got your book and I put a review on Amazon. Thanks. Great info.
I’m hoping I can get the publicity I need for my new memoir, HERE I STAND, using the information and tips in your book.

  13. Kathleen says:

    Hi Bev,

I just purchased your book and looking forward to a great read and implementation. I am going through a transition from working in the medical field to wellness and personal coaching….and freedom!!! I would have loved to attend the Boomer Women’s Summit but will be at a master coach training in Orlando. Looking forward to connecting with you. My time has been limited to focus on social media lately, so I’ve been under the radar, but looking forward to emerging again.

      Monica,
Your words mean more to me than I can express here in light of the fact that I just lost my mother. I don’t think of me “saving your life” but rather being blessed to be a BLESSING. Thank you for your kind words.

      • Monica Montague says:

  15. Greetings,

My name is Sz’Moyne. I am a young entrepreneur. I just started my business not to long ago at the age of 16. I provide a variety of products from a business card to a billboard, and we’ve done both. I want to advertise my business more. Do you have any suggestions?

I am very hardworking, dedicated, and have a lot of potential and I have been at this for a long time and want to show the world what I am made of. I am sure I sound like many people who probably send you an e-mail or shoot you a call, but I am different. I am unique to the print industry in many ways. If you were to speak with me (which you are free to, my number is listed below) you would be able to tell that I am very educated, smart, talented, and automatically see the potential I have.

Please give me a chance to show you how I am unique, and offer me the opportunity to get my feet off the ground.

    Sincerely,
    Sz’Moyne Arnwine

    Hi!
I wanted to talk to you about a comment you made in Google+ group we share. Sorry to reply here but it is the only contact info I found off the Google+ group! I would not take it personally or get discouraged — you are not really a lifestyle blogger — you are a Boomer voice giving a fact based perspective on the media. You (and I) will consistently fall beyond the lifestyle blogger category. I would be happy to chat with your more about this. You now have my email address.

I am the one presenting at AARP and would to include links to page and your logo if that is OK. I am finalizing the banner and my pages for my presentation this weekend so I hope this does not get to you too late.

Hello bev. i have more than love for music. i will call it an infatuation..lol But in all seriousness, i am in the process of starting my own radio show. i was a music artist who had a very strong local following and people who have seen my performances, friends and strangers along with well established artist, have told me i have great crowd control. Im am over the writing and recording music. I want to play music and help people create a following for themselves. Problem is, i have never done radio. I havent even told my wife this but im kind of nervous. what if people arent feeling it? what if im just not doing it right? what kind of reading should i do to succeed? What is most important to keep in mind? your advice is very well appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hello Beverly. My name is Tara Walker and I am a radio show talk host on blogtalk. It is interesting that you say that some of the personalities on blogtalkradio will not ever see the light of day in a legitimate station or on television. I would love for you to share this information on my show and also talk about your book. Contact me to discuss more in detail about sharing your knowledge with the masses as you already have. Look forward to speaking to you in more detail.

    Sincerely,
    Tara Walker

  23. Hi Beverly,

My name is Laura Kay House and I own a company called Silver Connections which is located here in the NC Triangle. I have been in business for about five years and provide a membership organization and socializing opportunities for those 55+ through events and travel. Our members are all single and we are not a dating service, but a way to bring those who are widowed or divorced together for friendship and fun! Our members are all Boomers and are very active, engaged in life. Our events are very unique and take advantage of all the Triangle has to offer. I have written several articles and have a blog about the importance of socializing and connections on mental and physical health as we age, as well as ways to combat loneliness. I would love to talk to you more about Silver Connections and our wonderful members! Thank you-
